The Cph:cool mission was born in 2005: No more monuments and museums! We know that urban travelers are busy and curious and we want to help our guests by making a shortcut into the best Copenhagen has to offer, mixing a cocktail of shopping, design and culture.
Cph:cool was founded by Sine Louise Schmidt and Kristine Munkgård Pedersen.
Kristine has a life-long crush on Copenhagen and love the city, from Strøget to Refshaleøen, from suburb to city center. In fact it is the contrasts and diversity of the small city that makes it great, she believes. Riding a bike through the different neighbourhoods of Copenhagen makes her truly happy, as well as discovering new secrets and nerdy knowledge about her hometown. Although she is the theoretical mastermind of Cph:cool (Ph.d. fellow in experience economy), she still has a passion for smoky bars and high heeled shoes.
Sine has been walking the streets of Copenhagen since she was a little girl, growing up in the idyllic neighborhood of Christianshavn. She loves riding her bike and drinking coffee, so she is always in chase
of coffee shops with a cozy atmosphere. Charming Il Buco in an old warehouse at Islands Brygge is her absolute favorite spot at the moment. Being a certified guide as well as an art- and designhistorian, makes Sine our sucker for aestetics and enthusiastic design nerd, knowing everything about Danish design from Arne Jacobsen to Louise Campbell – and where to find it.
