Old street still very much alive

Værnedamsvej is a Copenhagen classic. The short street connecting Vesterbro and Frederiksberg has a unique charm, favored by locals because of its diversity, cosy cafés and cool shops.

If we were to pick one street in Copenhagen, this is the one. For many years Værnedamsvej has been famous for its wide selection of butchers, groseries, fish parlors and delies. Today you will still find one of Copenhagens best wineshops (check out the cellar - it holds the biggest Whisky-selection in Scandinavia) Juuls Vinhandel, situated in number 15. And the small deli-shop Le Gourmand in number 3A is a favorite among foodies. Restaurant Les Trois Cochons in number 10 is always a great choice because of its cosy food, great interiour and democratic prices. And Cafe Granola opposite the street has it all for breakfast and lunch: perfect sandwiches, aromatic coffee, nostalgic atmosphere and always a couple of celebs to look at ;-). However, to day you will find more than food at Værnedamsvej. Check out fashion shop Samsøe & Samsøe for a collection of laid back outfits for both men and women. On the corner of Gl. Kongevej you will find Madam My on the one side and Kluns on the other. Both have a wide selection of Danish and Scandinavian brands. And there are many more ...
